Our approach

Understanding History by experiencing the places where it happened

A map or a book can teach you about History. Being there, where it actually happened, allows you to truly understand it.

Our tours take you from the iconic D-Day sites to the small country roads of the Normandy bocage, revealing positions, landscapes and battlefields that are often overlooked.

  • Well-Researched Stories

Veterans’ testimonies, archives, period photographs and first-hand knowledge of the terrain bring the events we recount during your tour to life.

  • An Immersive Experience

Aboard a historic military vehicle, discover the distances, terrain and roads in an environment as close as possible to the one encountered by soldiers in 1944.

The Story Behind It

A Shared Passion That Brought Us Together

The story of Omaha Jeep Tours is first and foremost one of a shared passion for preserving the memory of D-Day.

After meeting in the United States in 2015 at the National D-Day Memorial, Florent and Jenny decided to continue this mission together in Normandy: sharing the places where the battle took place while preserving the stories of those who experienced it.

Today, this commitment to understanding, preserving and passing on history continues to inspire the entire team.

Meeting the last witnesses of this history reminds us why it must never be forgotten.

Passionate about the Second World War since his teenage years, Dylan gradually devoted himself to preserving and sharing the stories of veterans.

With a background in tourism, he has built strong connections with former servicemen through numerous meetings and exchanges. Several trips to the United States with Florent and Jenny gave him the opportunity to meet some of the last veterans who helped liberate Europe, ensuring their stories continue to be remembered.

Behind every name engraved on a memorial lies a story that deserves to be told.

Originally from Bedford, Virginia, Jenny has a special connection to the history of D-Day. Her hometown paid a heavy price on June 6, 1944, particularly on Omaha Beach.

Before moving to Normandy, she spent more than seven years working at the National D-Day Memorial, where she began as a volunteer before eventually becoming the site’s director.

The stories passed down by our grandparents become a memory we have a duty to preserve.

Passionate about the Second World War since childhood, Jonathan grew up listening to his grandparents’ stories of the French Resistance and the Battle of the Bulge.

Have you watched the new video my friend Joey van Meesen released on his YouTube channel, SNAFU DOCS ?

As always, we’re just having fun exploring different areas, some well known, others much less so. This time, we visited the area with Joey & Titi Militariaww II where John Hawk, the only Medal of Honor recipient of the 90th Infantry Division in Normandy, took part in the fighting at Chambois during the closing of the Falaise Gap, actions for which he was later awarded the Medal of Honor

We shared John Hawk’s story while exploring the area, looking at photographs from 1944 and comparing them with the landscape as it looks today through then-and-now photography. We also talk about the actions of the 90th Infantry Division during the final stage of the German campaign in Normandy.

If you haven’t watched it yet, go check out my friend Joey channel, Snafu Docs. And if you prefer, I’ll also share the link in the first comment.

Hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it!
